Stuart Skinner has been confirmed as Winnipeg's goalie. Skinner runs hot and cold. Right now he is playing well with victories in his last two games, stopping 70 of 74 shots during this span for a save percentage of .945.

Given the spot and goalie edge, I find the home Jets worth taking at this price.

I really like the way this spot sets up for the Sharks as they look to rebound following Saturday's 3-1 loss on home ice against the Oilers. That was Macklin Celebrini's first game back after missing a pair of games due to injury and turned out to be a sluggish matinee affair. I expect to see a lot more energy from San Jose on Tuesday as it hosts a Bruins team that is coming off back-to-back blowout wins over the Mammoth and Flyers, scoring a whopping 11 goals in the process. Boston is 4-2 overall but just 1-1 on the road with its lone victory coming by way of overtime. The Sharks have taken three straight meetings in this series and I look for them to make it four on Tuesday. Take San Jose.

Blues v Senators NHL Free Pick

The Angle(s): The Ottawa Senators are on the second night of a back-to-back, and I think the market is giving the tired-legs angle too much weight. Ottawa just went into New Jersey and handled the Devils 4-1, and coming back to the Canadian Tire Centre should more than make up for the short turnaround.

The St. Louis Blues have dropped three straight, most recently a 3-2 overtime loss to San Jose, and even that record is flattering. St. Louis has scored above its expected baseline, which tells me the offense has been running on finishing luck that won’t last. When the shooting regresses, a team that’s already allowing 3+ goals per game doesn’t have much to fall back on. I’ll back the better, more structured club at home, even on no rest.
