NFL Playoffs Odds: Wildcard Round Betting Lines & Vegas Spreads & Totals

The final week of the regular season in the NFL is in the books and the playoffs have finally taken form. The last week of the season can be tricky because of the unknown lineup changes that some teams take to rest players or test others out in different situations.  This lead to a number or noticeable upsets including both the Lions and Panthers winning outright a 7.5-point underdogs.

NFL Playoffs Wildcard Round Odds & Free Predictions

This week is the Wildcard round in the playoffs, meaning four of the eight teams below will move on to the divisional round. Each 1st and 2nd seed in both conferences received a first-round bye in the playoffs, meaning the Chiefs, Patriots, Saints, and Rams will have an extra week to prepare for their opponents.

History isn’t on the side of the wildcard winners. Since the modern NFL playoff scheduling started in the 2008 season (2009 playoffs), wildcard teams have gone just 22-46 (32.4%) in the next round. These teams have done well against the spread, however, notching a 37-29-2 record, meaning that perhaps oddsmakers overcompensate for the extra week of rest that the top seeds get.

Below you’ll find the latest odds on this year’s wildcard matchups, plus a link to a free betting preview from one of our staff writers as they become available.
