I love going against the grain, and today in this matchup, I am doing it once again. Early money is coming in on Murray state. My friends, the general public is once again wrong. The Racers enter this matchup losing four of their last five straight up, and seven consecutive against the number. This team is pointspread poison, my friends, and to go one further, this is a road game for them and they do not travel well. They must go into Reno to face a Nevada opponent which is 15-2 on their own court this season. If you have not been to Lawlor Events Center, it is very impressive, and there will be 12,000 screaming fans to support their home team. The visiting team last took to court on March 6 and will come in here rusty. By the way, that 13-point loss at home to UIC followed a nine-point defeat on the road at Bradley. This team is cold, my friends. While their offense can score, their defense is absolutely atrocious, they cannot shoot the “three” offensively, and they are at a disadvantage on the boards in this matchup. Their opponent, the home team, is excellent from downtown, possesses a very frustrating defense, and has a big strong frontcourt to dominate on the glass. Take the Wolfpack. Thank you.

As of posting this release, I see the early money coming in on Lehigh. This is a team that finished second in the Patriot League with an overall record of 18-16, and covered 19-of-32 lined games this season. They took early season losses at the hands of Houston, West Virginia, and Rutgers, just to name a few. Now I'm not trying to compare today's opponent to those teams. But don't fool yourself when I tell you Prairie View is a worthy adversary. And I believe this game should be closer to a pick ‘em. The Panthers, who are riding a seven-game SU win streak, and nine of their last 10, finished eighth in the SWAC. And yes, they took some beating themselves in their early season nonconference matchups. But this team can cover. They are on a 10-game ATS cover streak and overall, have covered 12 of their last 14 outings. As a matter of fact, they have covered against Oklahoma State, Missouri, North Texas, LSU, and Texas A&M. Their offense accounts for more points than the Mountain Hawks, while they are certainly better at both ends of the court on the glass. They also shoot significantly better from the free-throw line. I feel the wrong team is favored here. But I will take the points with Prairie View A&M. Thank you.
