South Florida has played six of its first eight games in road/neutral venues. In the two home games, the Bulls went 2-0 SU & 2-0 ATS beating Florida A&M 102-67 as 26-point favorites and Coppin State 100-50 as 34-point favorites.
The Bulls are back home here for the first time since November 12th and I look for them to play one of their best games of the season. Former Arkansas State head coach Bryan Hodgson has put together a nice roster with great balance. All five starters are scoring at least 12.5 points per game.
Utah State will be playing a true road game for the first time this season. There have been some shaky results for the Aggies this season, including a 84-81 (OT) home win over Montana State as 17-point favorites last time out. This will be the Aggies’ toughest test of the season.
Utah State is overvalued after a 7-0 start to the season. But it has come against the 197th-ranked schedule as they have played just one team in the Top 120. South Florida is 4-4 but it has come against the 67th-ranked schedule, 130 spots tougher than the Aggies. The Bulls have already played four Top 70 teams, and that tough schedule will have them better prepared to take down Utah State tonight. Bet South Florida Thursday.
