Thunder vs Cavs NBA Free Pick

The Angle(s): OKC is dealing with injuries, but this team is deep. The Cavs are in a letdown spot as they return home after their first blowout win in seven months, a 136-111 rout of the Bucks on Saturday. Gimme the Thunder as a dawg off back-to-back losses.

Bears v Seahawks MNF 4% TOP PLAY

The Angle(s): Nearly 80% of the tickets are on the over in this primetime matchup, but I'm siding with two defenses that have been suffocating. The Seattle Seahawks rank first in yards allowed for the second straight season and just held the previously unbeaten Chiefs to three points and 213 total yards. They also haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 36 straight games, which neutralizes the strength of a Chicago Bears offense that leans on the league's top ground attack.

The last time these teams met, Seattle won 6-3. Another sub 19 points game is a tough ask, but expect another physical, low-scoring battle at Lumen Field.

The Bet: Under (4%). 

Knights/Bruins NHL BOOKIE BLA$TER

The Angle(s): The special teams matchup sets up perfectly for goals in Boston. The Boston Bruins rank last in the league in penalty minutes per game, and that's a dangerous habit against a Vegas Golden Knights power play that ranks seventh. On the other side, Vegas has been terrible shorthanded, with the league's 26th-ranked penalty kill.

There's a reason why the Golden Knights have been an over machine, with 10 of their 15 games clearing 6.5 goals, and these teams combine for 7.1 goals per game.

The Bet: Over (3%). 

4% Hornets/Pistons NBA TOP PLAY

The Angle(s): These teams met just five days ago and combined for only 186 points in a 97-89 Detroit Pistons win, and I expect a similar rock fight in Charlotte. Detroit has the league's best defense, and the under has cashed in four of the Pistons' six games this season.

The Charlotte Hornets' offense has been a mess without LaMelo Ball's full supporting cast. They rank last in offensive rating, are shooting under 30% from three, and are turning the ball over nearly 19 times per game. Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams are both out again, and the Hornets are 6-1 to the under on the season

The Bet: Under (4%). 

MAGIC MIKE'S Bucks/Wolves NBA MONEYMAKER

The Angle(s): The Minnesota Timberwolves have been one of the most reliable teams in the league to back early, covering the number in six of their first seven games, and they've been dominant against weaker opponents. Minnesota is 5-0 ATS in its last five games against teams with a losing record, and its wins this season include blowouts of Miami, Orlando and Toronto.

The Milwaukee Bucks are 1-5 and still searching for an identity after the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, allowing more than 124 points per game. Minnesota beat Milwaukee by 33 the last time these teams met at Target Center (Jan 13), and I expect another comfortable Wolves win.

The Bet: Wolves ATS (3%). 

4% Wizards/Magic NBA TOP PLAY

The Angle(s): The Orlando Magic are in a classic bounce-back spot at the Kia Center. They've dropped three straight at home, including a frustrating loss to Boston in which they managed just four points over the final four minutes. Even without Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs, Desmond Bane has kept this team competitive, and I expect a sharp, focused effort in front of a home crowd that's been waiting for a win. The Washington Wizards are coming off a 95-76 rout of Charlotte, but their track record as underdogs is ugly, winning just six of their last 35 games outright.

The Bet: Magic ML (4%). 

Miami-Florida v Florida CBB BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): Opening night is all about continuity, and no team in the country has more of it than the Florida Gators as they return four starters from a team that won 27 games, captured the SEC title. The Miami Hurricanes are loaded with new transfers, and that kind of roster turnover often shows up in the first game of the season.
