After a quick start to the season the Cubs sort of lost their ‘punch’ and had trouble getting men across home plate. It becomes contagious and today a pair of ‘cunney-thumbers’ who couldn’t break a pane of glass will be serving up the most hit-able of pitches. The ball is always in play when Patrick Corbin (2-3, 4.57 ERA) id on the hill as he has surrendered 70 hits, (7 HR’s) in just 61 innings giving up 31earned runs, while his counterpart for the home club will send out Colon Rea (5-5, 5.35) who has given up 12 home runs in 74 innings with just 56 strikeouts. Cardinals over Royals - Did it rain somewhere yesterday or did these two clubs get a Saturday off. This is one of the more subtle rivalries in MLB and Kansas City has had bragging rights over the Red Birds. St. Louis won the first two meetings of the season but the Royals have taken the last three including the first two of this series. Cardinals Dustin May (5-6, 3.75 ERA) who spent six years with the Dodgers before finishing last season with Boston gets the nod. KC will start Stephen Kolek (4-1, 2.68) who had his best career start last time out against Houston going 7.1 innings giving up no runs and only five hits. I expect regression this time out. Take ST. Astros over Former Tribesmen - When it comes to signing Asian pitchers it is the LA Dodgers or nothing as few if any that sign with anybody else just don’t make it. Houston will try and steal (no not signals) a page out of the Dodgers playbook starting Kai-Wei Teng (3-6, 4.31 ERA) who hasn’t been all that bad except that he pitches for the Astros and have given up too many long balls in such a light workload. He has lost his last three starts, and while pitching 23 innings in his past four games he allowed 20 runs (not good at all). Cleveland will send out Slade Cecconi (3-5, 4.60) who is off of three straight quality starts yet the Ohioans lost all three games. He’s surrendered more long balls than Teng as the Astros zap the Rock-n’ Roll Fame guys. Take HOUSTON!

Giants over Marlins - San Francisco was a complete embarishment Saturday committing four errors that took them out of any chance against the under-rated Marlins. Miami will start Ryan Guesto (0-2, 7.24 ERA) his fourth of the season and other other three have not been so hot as he has surrendered eight runs in just 19;.2 inning only making it through the fourth inning once. Logan Webb (4-4. 3.46) has the unfortunate issue of having to pitch for this weak hitting Giants squad. But, Webb will be the best player on the field the the Jints will let him pitch deep into the game having gone eight innings in each of his last two starts. Take SAN FRANCISCO!

Chip Chirimbes is one of those names people know even if they’re not in on the sports betting industry. He is a famed pro who has made several regular TV appearances throughout his 40-year career. Many of those were on his own, nationally-syndicated show.
