Indianapolis Colts Schedule

The Indianapolis Colts just completed one of the most miraculous turnarounds in NFL history in 2012. After going 2-14 in 2011 and selecting Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick in the ’12 draft, the Colts unbelievably won 11 games last season. They rallied around head coach Chuck Pagano, who was diagnosed with cancer.

Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians did an excellent job in Pagano’s absence. His efforts landed him the head coaching position at Arizona heading into the 2013 season. Luck was everything they thought he’d be as he had a monster season despite having the unenviable task of replacing arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time in Peyton Manning. Indianapolis would lose to eventual Super Bowl champion Baltimore in the wild card round.

While it will be hard to match their 11-win total from a year ago, the Colts certainly have a chance given their 2013 schedule. They will be up against the third-easiest schedule as their opponents posted a combined 117-137-2 record and a 46.1 winning percentage a year ago. Indianapolis draws the AFC West and the NFC West, as well as the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals, who finished second in their respective divisions.

According to the lines at Cantor listed below, the Colts are expected to be favored in six games, an underdog in seven, and a pick ‘em in three.  That means they are supposed to be roughly a .500 team, which I believe is pretty accurate.  They have a chance to win double-digit games given the ease of their schedule, but I look for them to take a step back in 2013.  Indianapolis will win eight or nine games this coming fall.
