The #6 Kentucky Wildcats (22-11, 16-16-1 ATS) & the #3 Kansas State Wildcats (24-9, 21-12 ATS) lock horns on Sunday in Round of 32 tournament gambling today at 2:40pm ET. UK comes into this one 6-4 in their L10, while K-State comes in 6-4 in their L10 as well. The line opened at Kentucky -1. The winner of this East region matchup gets a Sweet 16 berth next week at MSG in New York.
In round 1 K-State won by 12 over Montana State in a game that really wasn't all that close. Kentucky took down Providence 61-53 in their round 1 matchup. UK has now won at least 20 games for the 31st time in the last 33 seasons, talk about consistency. KState has the offense to keep this game close but UK is going to own the glass, and the inside scoring, and I think that's enough to give them the cover on Sunday.
My projections call for a 3-5 pt win by UK. Remember the name Oscar Tshiebwe. UK will control the possession, and their defense will be a difference maker against a tough K-State team. The Wildcats are 1-9 all time versus UK.
