Friday CBB Free play. My selection is on Nebraska plus the points over Purdue at 6:30 pm et on Friday.
We won with Nebraska two nights ago as it stayed just inside the number at home against Illinois. While most see the Cornhuskers running into a buzz saw as a 20-point underdog at Purdue on Friday, I believe they can hang tough (relatively speaking). The Boilermakers have not been a good bet lately - far from it, in fact - as they've lost four straight and seven of their last eight games ATS. The last time they faced Nebraska last February they won by 17 points but that was a game in which the Huskers shot a miserable 35% from the field. Nebraska comes into this game shooting the ball well (just shy of 47% over its last five games) and I like the fact that it's battle-tested, having faced a top-60 toughest schedule in the nation according to KenPom (Purdue ranks 67th in that category). Save for a 28-point loss at Rutgers in their most recent road game, the Huskers have been competitive on the road this season (again, relatively speaking), losing by four points at N.C. State, 13 points at Indiana and 12 points at Michigan State. Here, we'll note that the Boilers are a miserable 2-10 ATS after winning six or seven of their last eight games over the last two seasons, as is the case here. Take Nebraska.
