MLB Trends

If you want to learn more about how to bet baseball, our MLB trends place is a good place to get you started. Trends can be an important component to your betting experience, but be sure you are only using quality trends, and that you aren’t simply betting a game based only on a few attractive statistics. One of the most popular trends you’ll want to examine for all of the matchups are each team’s home and away splits. Some teams perform better or worse at their home ballpark.

This is a trend that has been consistently helpful over the years for many of our handicappers, so you would do well to check these splits before placing a bet on a certain team. Once you start examining the trends provided on this page, you will start to see the other ones that can be useful to you. For example, if a team always hits well when they play in a dome, that’s a good place to start when you are trying to find which games to bet on each day. Maybe a certain team always has trouble with another team, no matter where they play. That is important information to know before you place any of your hard-earned money on a game, isn’t it?

The trends I just provided you should give you a good place to start. Remember that, just like in any other sport, no trend is immune to getting reversed. Some trends are downright silly, an example might be that the Yankees are 7-0 over the last 10 years when playing on Thursdays, in day games, coming off of 2 or more days rest, with a left-handed starter versus a right-handed opposing pitcher.

Now, I just made that up, but I don’t think those are the kinds of trends you want to be following for placing wagers. Stick with things that make sense, like home vs. away trends. Always keep digging for more information, just don’t get stray too far from common sense.
